**there has been no lecture yet for this course during the school year, but we had a lecture during welcome week that follows the same structure. App that gives you coupons to restaurants. Determines when it is cheaper to eat at restaurants based on time of day, rainy weather, other factors. 1 spin per day to get a coupon. Puts ads and games inside of ubers for riders to enjoy. Rider is able to alternate playing a game to win $ and watching an ad. 1 view of ad = 1 impression for company that ad is for. This model engages rider in ad (they can"t get up and walk away like at home on the tv so it guarantees an impression) Companies pay octopus per impression and for more showtimes. Ads can be set to only play in certain locations. Take risks before you have too many commitments / responsibilities in like like a spouse, children, mortgage.
