Temporal: two body segments/objects must be aligned in the correct timing (temporal) sequence. Motor learning: study of processes involved in acquiring and refining motor skills that promote or inhibit that acquisition: sample questions: Skill: an action or task that has specific goals to achieve. An activity is a skill if it: is directed towards the attainment of a goal, is performed voluntarily, has been acquired by experience/practice. A motor skill requires voluntary body/limb movement. Cannot be a cognitive skill or a primary action we were born with (i. e. , sucking) Sitting: maintain control of torso, voluntary, is a learned behavior (how to keep steady center of mass), required body/limb movement: so is standing and walking. Another conceptualization of skill is something which distinguishes competence between, for example, experts and novices.
