Performance outcome measure: a measure that indicates the outcome or result of performing a motor skill. Performance production measure: a measure that indicates the performance of a specific aspect of the motor control system during the performance of a motor skill: also called a process measure. Kinematic measure: a measure that describes motion without regard to force or mass. Kinetic measure: a measure used to study the role of force as a cause of motion. Cerebellum is a small part of the brain that controls a lot of aspects of motion. Cerebellar ataxia: have a resting tremor, cant hold arm straight out and cant touch nose without tremor. Cerebellum helps provides smooth, coordinated body movement. Populations: cerebellar patients: impairment of the cb (unilateral and bilateral lesions) Measures: process measure because it shows how they got their outcome, kinematics: hand trajectory and velocity profiles, outcome measure: movement time.
