Final shape is a bull, the horn which is broken off becomes the symbol of abundance. Challenges what a mortal is capable of. Driven not by glory (kleos) but by his friendship (philia) with patroclus. The death of patroclus is also the end of achilles. Child of myrrha, born from the tree. Was incredibly beautiful and aphrodite was smitten with him even when he was a tiny baby. Persephone is equally smitten and refuses to give him back. Zeus says that a third is spent with each and then adonis decides for the other third, he chose aphrodite. Because of this his sexual life begins a little earlier than it should. Adonis to stay away from hunting wild animals (gives the example of atalanta).
