Immediate: could be chronic, periodic--they get hit by hurricanes/in that area it happens more, cumulative--sea levels rising has made it worse. Temporal--decades, going to be a long recovery process, agriculture hurt meaning food problems, economic problems. Global impact b/c 2nd largest producer of rice, top 5 exporter of grain.
