Also academic related issues: devices available to reduce or mask unpredictable noise with soothing more regular sounds like rain or waves. Hot temperatures lead to hostile affect, thoughts, and physiological arousal. In 826 major league baseball games, as temperature increase more batters hit by pitchers. Murders and rapes in 2 large cities increased with temperature. Burglary and car theft related to temperature. With very high temperatures, aggressive behaviors decrease but negative affect remains high.
