Culture: key components are shared meanings that become norms that are derived from values and productions. Values: the shared ideals that we hold above all others. the ideals that we strive for. The pool from which we draw and construct our norms. Norms: standards from which we will judge, assess, and guide our conduct and behaviors. Productions we create: can be material and nonmaterial. Flag is an object- views come with our flag. When someone takes over a school, the first thing they address is culture to the members of the community. Culture is variant, not all will be uniform. Sense of solidarity here going along with the meanings. Ideal culture:in this country, there has been a constant in our nation"s values. Real culture: the actual truth about our society. We have equality for all it does not exist in the ideal manner that it should. There is a cultural inconsistency between these two concepts.
