Large pieces such as the lions gate were not buried under rubble like a majority of it was. Dome surrounding tombs built around 1300 bce, destroyed around 1100 bce, tombs are from 1600 bce. A lot of gold was found at this place. Agamemnon didn"t rule there even though excavator said he found his death mask. They were very elite as you can see from their weapons and artwork. Tantalus is allowed to eat with the gods so he plays trick on them. Tantalus cuts up and feeds his son pelops to the gods. Demeter eats his shoulder but no one else does. Everyone knows and send him to hades and they peice up pelops and give him an ivory shoulder, or is it a gold shoulder idk. Pelops is restored and goes to greece to court hippodamia near olympia.
