Section leaders are the primary point of contact. Cs is about process: it is describing how to accomplish tasks. Computer science is a different type of science than most. Instead of creating a hypothesis and following the scientific theory it is more engineering. Just like paper or essays, programming can complete the same task in many different ways. The official start of programming was most likely in the 1950"s. The oldest date where it was even mentioned was in the late 1890"s. We will start to learn python in this class. Because it is relatively simple, object oriented, there is pre written software and it is widely used. Do the section problem from the website, and bring them to the section. You cannot get points for the section problem if you do not show up. 8 late days permitted, but only up to 4 days late. The first step in python is to print something out.
