Interaction among species and how they affect the living and nonliving factors of the environment. Bio community- populations of different species interacting with other species in the same area at the same time with the ecosystem being the biotic component and the abiotic factors assembles. Niche- role of an organisms in an ecological community and it involved its way of living along with interactions with biotic /abiotic factors. Realized niche- the actual/observed distribution of the species. Individuals of different species competing for something within the ecosystem. With presence of competitor reduces niche overlap but absence can expand range. Cervus nippon out competed the white tailed deer- the deer were over hunted or most likely died off. No cause and effect relationship that the intro of cervus nippon caused the decline in the white tailed deer. Comparison of morphology and behavior of sympatric tend to be more different then allopatric species. Auriculus- soft body beetles evotis- hard body beetles.
