I originally was not having high hopes going into english 102 when comparing this series of courses with my experience from last semester. My english teacher for 101 did not offer anything inspiring to the course, and this reflected in the class as a whole. With that, coming into english 102 became quite a blessing. I was not expecting to be as engaged in this course, and it was quite surprising. The inspiring environment of english 102 with maredil leon not only accomplished the goal of improving my rhetorical effectiveness, but it also imporved my understanding of the world as a whole. The first goal of our course was to improve rhetorical awareness. We were supposed to address and learn about different strategies for analyzing texts, audience, purpose, and context of many real world issues and situations. This was a goal which was touched upon in each part of my projects that i was assigned to do.
