MATH 475B Lecture Notes - Lecture 22: Eigenfunction, Sine Wave
Document Summary
Page 1 of 6 - apr 12, 2011. Know your audience (know what they already are familiar with) and choose the right level based on what they know and are likely to be interested in (build on shared experiences) You can prepare a slide or two if necessary, but really want to show the main part of calculation and why it"s important. Focus more on big picture than on technical details (but still should be some details/content) Make an actual list to turn in with the goals; a brief note. Ppt: you don"t have to remember steps on the spot, neater. Slides have too much info and your talking is redundant, don"t have slides be fully revealed at the beginning of the slide. How to judge what speed you should be going: is the audience engaged, are they lost and gave up or are they ahead of you and stopped listening.
