Jla"s goal was to make music which captivated and represented the world around us. Outdoor setting distributes the sound amongst the environment: it"s beautiful and the sound gets smaller, and dissipates. Images in mind"s eye, but really mind"s ear . Score is layered in a unique way, as parts are subdivided among other parts: polyrhythm which is layered left to right. Formation of musicians resembles these stacks of stones. About finding the music within the place and observing the music of the place . Music acts in the capacity of humans much like the meaning of inuksuit. Beats of a bass drum contain subdivided units of a cymbal crash: like a russian nesting egg doll. The piece can be performed anywhere which is great. The triangle and chimes in the beginning are played in a successive manor that feels like rain drops falling from the sky.
