To refuse to hearing an opinion because they belive it is false, is to assume their certainty is the same thing as absolute certainty. Response one must be open to discussion on opinions, not experience and facts alone; wrong options gradually yield to facts and argument. The whole strength and value of human judgment is that it can be set right when it is wrong. Subjects need to be looked at by persons with all different opinions and all characters of minds. The only way for human knowledge to become wise is by correcting and completing it with the collaboration of others. The beliefs we most warrant have no safeguard to rest on builds case open the many cases when beliefs were shunned then later realized to be correct. But usefulness itself is still a matter of opinion as necessary for discussion than the opinion itself. Cannot maintain harmlessness of option while forbidding to maintain its truth.
