Risk factors: age, family history of anxiety, personal history causes: Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (ssris): paxil, zoloft, celexa. Cognitive behavioral therapy: focus on cognitive distortions, learn to consider alternatives. Exposure therapies: focus on tolerance, present anxiety provoking stimuli, does not directly address free- oating issue.
