Ecology is the scientific study of: the processes influencing the distribution and abundance of organisms, the interactions among and between organisms and the environment, the transformation and flux of energy and matter. Environmentalism is a broad philosophy, ideology, and social movement regarding concerns for environmental protection and improvement of the health of the environment. Ecology is not about taking the simple and making it complex. Rather, it is about taking the complex and simplifying it.
