Proprioception: position of one"s own parts of the body and strength of effort being employed in movement. Innate cognitive system predisposed to survival information: objects in the world, agents: the goal directed actions of living things, spacial information used to orient themselves in the room, numbers, social groups. Infants are figuring out language and the properties of objects by the patterns and frequencies witch which they occur. Mirror neurons: work as sets, one part of the brain sees the action coming and the other part of the brain says this is how you will act/respond. Regulation: ability to regulate emotions and the body, in order to attend to people, objects, or himself. Executive function: the brains ability to use memory, play, stay focused, process information, and filter out distractions. Basic processes are built during the first 3 years of life. Working memory: the ability to hold information and use it.
