Document Summary
Legal/ illegal (cid:523)laws don"t make things morally right or wrong(cid:524: explain normativity, explain what makes something good or bad, right or wrong, decision procedure. Moral realism: moral values/ moral truths exists and they are real, torturing puppies, there is some sort of virtue out there that supports that this is wrong, two types, objectivists. Disagree that killing someone is wrong- you are wrong. Disagree that the curtain in this room is red- you are wrong. Believe what you believe because it is right. Killing innocent people is bad for me and you are free to: subjectivists (relativism) disagree. Only have the right to speak for yourself: can you be both, have t o draw the line between moral judgments and value judgments, subjectivists think that moral judgments are just value judgments. Eureka pizza is better than pizza hut (value judgment) Treat moral judgments and value judgments the same.
