What is thermodynamics: the study of energy. Motion of heat/temperature: once heat was understood to be a form of energy, it was folded into conservation of energy, conservation of energy = 1st law of thermodynamics, several ways to state the 2nd law of thermodynamics. Law of heating: 2nd law of thermodynamics: law of heating, thermal energy ows spontaneously from higher to lower temperature, but not from lower to higher temperature. , the intuitive version. Heat: quantitively: use of temperature to measure warmth, an object"s temperature relates the microscopic motion of molecules to our perception of hot and cold, freezing to boiling: size of a degree.
