This form of discrimination is more difficult to combat, because it is larger in scale. Social inequality is woven throughout social institutions. Oppression restricts minority groups from resources and opportunities, limiting their rightful participation in society. Targeted group members and advantaged group members adopt the dominant ideology about their own groups that maintains and reinforces oppression. White privilege those who are on the outside. It is invisible for those who have it and very visible for. White privilege is a challenge that one may need to confront on a daily basis in their personal and professional lives. Each of us have a personal responsibility to fill our own bottle. It is not our family"s responsibility or our friends" to make us feel full and valuable.
