Minority group-subordinate group whose members have much less control or power over their own lives unequal treatment: properties. In-group marriage: discuss the social construction of race. Stats: less than 5% of dna code for skin/hair color skin color usually defining characteristic of race to other people. Scientifically, genetics code more for bone formation look at skull size for race: more genetic variability within a group than between racial groups, more telling one: groups vary by time and culture. Racial categories vary based on time and culture of that era.
