BUA 396 Lecture Notes - Lecture 5: Jamie Rowe, Dick'S Sporting Goods, Asics
Document Summary
Recently i have gone through the process of buying a pair of running sneakers. My old ones where getting worn out and were causing me to have back pain. I had a few things to consider before actually making the purchase such as: price, comfort, stability, brand, and of course style. I previously have wanted nike products because of the fun styles and colors (and the desire to look cool at the gym), but soon realized that they weren"t the best for the back while running. All of my friends had nike and i had a need for affiliation, unconsciously thinking that i would fit in if i was wearing the same sneakers as everyone else. I soon realized my liking of nike had been merely come from observation and created a sensation telling me that they were the stylish choice; it was a materialistic choice.
