Incongruity is the first theory to develop in infants (as seen via peekaboo: superiority this is the only theory that is negative. This is present when we put other people down. Freud this is the basest of all humor. Humor and play are highly related to each other. (e. g. if you are stressed you are less likely to be receptive to humor)
