Intrusion symptoms: exposure to traumatic event, avoidance, negative alterations in mod or cognition, arousal and changes in reactivity, hypervigilance. Traumatic events associated with acute stress disorder and ptsd: combat, sexual assaults, violent crime or domestic violence, sexual harassment, natural disasters, car accidents or work-related accidents.
