Morality
1. Gender Roles
a. Gender stereotypes: using gender schemas as shortcuts; making
assumption about individuals based on common associations
with their gender
b. Gender roles: behaviors considered “normal” for males or females
in a particular time and/or culture
2. Adolescence
a. Transition period between childhood and adulthood
3. Adolescence: Cognitive development
a. Formal reasoning abilities
i. Recognize hypocrisy
ii. Arguments/challenging authority
b. Moral reasoning becomes more complex
4. Adolescence: Social Development
a. Search for Identity
i. Sense of self, purpose, goals in life
ii. Identity vs Social identity
b. Develop capacity for intimacy with others
i. Social support network: relying mostly on parents ---> peers
5. Emerging Adulthood
a. Biologically byond adolescence, but socially still not ready for
adulthood
b. Delayed entrance into typical adulthood stages: job, marriage,
kids
c. Prolonged reliance on parents such as financial support, living
arrangements, etc

1. Learning
a. Changing thoughts/behavior because of experience
i. Stimulus: any event or object in the environment
ii. Response: any behavior thought to be caused by a stimulus
2. Types of learning
a. Non-associative
