EVE 10 Lecture Notes - Lecture 7: Frequency Distribution, Coefficient Of Determination, Scatter Plot
Document Summary
The charts used to describe whether our main effects or interactions actually happen. Post-hoc tukey"s test: a significant effect, and have more than two levels. If you have two levels, you have one pair and obviously that will be the pair. Mse is used in the hsd value in tukey"s test. Hsd = q x the square root of mse over number of people. No interaction: all processing effects show exact same pattern over both exposure times. Two levels of main effect, don"t need tukey"s test. Three levels of main effect, need tukey"s test, and then use the mm to see whether or not the differences correlate. Antagonistic interaction: reversed effect of multimodal processing in comparison to o and s types as a function of word exposure time. Synergistic interaction: word exposure time reinforces and strengthens the effects of word processing type on recall.
