The percentage of the world"s older adults living in developing countries continues to grow. Us population of 65+ adults in millions and percent of total population: centenarians (people over 100) The number of centenarians in the us is growing rapidly. In 2011, the baby boomers turned 65: baby boomers the generation of people born between 1946-1964 after the soldiers came back from wwii. The effects on society: population pyramids through time, racial diversity. The us population over 65 is becoming more diverse: non-hispanic white: more prevalent in this age group than in the general population.
