Quick access toolbar- shortcut bar for frequently used tool at the very top of the doc. Can customize this at the right hand side. Ribbon interface- entire section before the word doc that is beneath the quick access toolbar; allows for easy navigation. There are also some sections within the ribbon interface( such as font) that opens up a dialog box. Top section- tabs that contain various tools to edit, format, and review your document. Status bar- entire bottom section of word doc. Highlight sentence- go to the beginning of a sentence, control and click. Highlight paragraph- triple click anywhere in that paragraph. Highlight two paragraphs not consecutive-highlight first paragraph, hold ctrl, click and highlight third paragraph. Modifications that can be made to the text by shortcuts on the keyboard. Show ruler, and drag the top triangle. Moves all the lines of the paragraph. Top left square (make sure ruler is on)
