Document Summary

Inca (larger and wealthier than aztec); cuzco was the leader of the incas; 1532 - 1533. Inca fell to another spaniard: francisco pizarro. He caused the fall of incas similar to how the aztecs fell. Couple years before the empire fell, he visited inca and sees the people, goes to the king of spain, comes back to conquer them, 75% of incas already died by disease. Incas who survived were in conflict and fought within each other on who would rule the empire. Francisco sides with a group of incas and use their force to take over the capital. He was able to have an army to support him because he married the daughter of a powerful chief of a tribe. Huge amounts of gold, turquoises, and resources were stripped off from latin america and shipped back to europe. Economic condition of europe grew while latin america"s declined.
