In ovaries during menstrual cycle: growing follicle, mature follicle, ovulation, corpus luteum, degeneration copus luteum. Uterus during menstrual cycle: uterus sheds its lining if no fertilization occurs. Hormones important for the female reproductive system: gnrh- controller from the hypothalamus. Promote maturation of female reproductive structures and also secondary sexual characteristics. What hormone foes this structure begin to produce. Primary follicle: when estrogen and progesterone levels are high fsh and lh release are inhibited. Lh levels let you know ovulation has occurred.
