The rape of allison by an old friend, beau donaldson, a star football player. She had this relationship with a detective, det. She had recorded beau, very shortly after the rape and got a confession, but it was not admissible since she didn"t have a warrant. She still cares for beau even though he raped her and she doesn"t want to ruin his life and career so she"s holding back. There was this turning point that she was realizing something specific about him that made her want to talk to the police. She gets bo to say on the recording, admitting to the act that he rapes her, but that doesn"t seem to be enough evidence for the police. Guy baker wants her to have even more evidence. The fresh complaint = bias in favor of having a fresh complaint; don"t delay, report it right away. May be evidence for him that he didn"t do it.
