Law of rape = elements on the books. Law in action = structural, cultural, institutional, attitudinal barriers. How do victims and alleged rapists react? (others) Missoula identifies the disconnect between law of rape and law in action. Missoula is about rape and the justice system in a college town. Institutions have a lot of power, and it"s very difficult to take them down. Rapes in missoula that we will be discussing: 1st rape = allison huguet and beau donaldson. 2nd rape = keely williams and lewis ronan. 3rd rape = kelsey belnap and benjamin styron + teammates (4) Not all hospitals performed forensic evaluations (rape kits) In every moment in time, decisions are made relating to one another and/or to society. Most men do not rape but those that do majority of the time are reoffenders. You can record someone without them knowing only if you have a warrant.
