Area of acropolis inhabited since the bronze age, archaic temple to athena burned during siege of athens by persians in 480 bce. Construction interrupted by peloponnesian wars, resumed after end of wars in 421. Minoan/mycenaean - geometric- archaic - classical - hellenistic. Archaic to classical - more detailed, more realistic.
