Her duty was not as a distraction because of consent. Anneas duty is to start the new empire and he adopts these duties (even tho they are his fate) and he is reaching this goal. Courage - she is unable to foresee cupid, she is so upset. Can not stay calm when aeneas leaves her. She goes and kills herself out of grief. The symbolism of sacrifice from the sheep, and her as a doe.
