Even if an underlying system is complex, if the instructions are simple, then the perception of the system is simple. Tutorials: online, documentation, . pdf, , programming examples, software use cases, . Informal messages: like wang"s email to the class on thursday on what to submit today. Vocabulary within the documentation should be understandable to whoever reads it. For example, writing instructions for ics majors is different than writing instructions for kindergarteners (hopefully) Tutorials for java assume readers have basic computer knowledge: they don"t talk about how a mouse / keyboard works, but there are tutorials that do it depends on the target. Tutorials assuming someone with no programming experience will be different that none assuming some familiarity. General introduction: short / descriptive title is important. Starting off with java (better, but still a bit broad)
