Percent of children living in poverty has increased in the last decade. Now a days 51% in public school qualify for dree or reduce lunch in. They may need to work for the family. Ba,bs degree completion as function of 8th grade ability and ses. You are more likely to get your bachelors if you have high income even if you do not do so good in math. Those that are of low income have a significantly lower chance of completing a ba or bs. Effect of ses are high in the united states compared to other countries. Hong kong and finland there is not much of a difference.
