PSY BEH 9 Lecture Notes - Lecture 2: Family Values, Microsoft Powerpoint
Document Summary
A review of the existing research on our topic. How did they find data, how did they go through the research, what were their results, what was their methods. May find out about results that may effect our own theories and hypothesis. Report results to other scientists who have similar interests. Show our conclusions, what we did, our data, what we found. Peer-reviewing: write a journal article or give a talk, other scientist look over the whole e(cid:454)peri(cid:373)e(cid:374)t to (cid:373)ake sure that there (cid:449)as(cid:374)"t a(cid:374)(cid:455)thi(cid:374)g to (cid:271)e (cid:373)issed. Where we report our study in enough detail so that other researchers can replicate the same study and find the same or similar results. Important because if they can find the same results then we know our data is accurate. Provide in our report precise descriptions of research variables and procedures used to measure them. Define the words that may seem vague in your report, provide a definition for those.
