Can game theory tell us anything about the evolution of sociality. Game between players in which utilities are assigned to each of the options. *assume that agents seek to maximize their own utility. Say that solution of a game is an equilibria. *this is just a model -> does not always work well at describing real people. When neither player has an incentive to change their option or to change their strategy. By incentive means a higher payoff -> cannot get higher pay-off by changing their strategy in equilibria. Appear that have evolved to have some sort of sociality. Equilibria position in this case would be defecting -> maximize own utility. Both should want to defect & have an incentive to do so.
