31 views1 pages

Document Summary

Personally, i would claim that i have more of a growth mindset in regard to my approach in learning. Dr. carol dweck defines this as (cid:1688)being able to understand that your abilities could be developed(cid:1689), which is primarily the way in which i view myself. I tend to begin by determining my intelligence in what i understand and know within a particular subject or topic. I then utilize this with a combination of new found knowledge, typically acquired through heavy reading or experience, to help me learn more and achieve a better comprehension. Although it upsets me when such events occur, i remind myself that we often learn more through failure. As mentioned in the video, people with a fixed mindset will run from error and difficulty, and i would not say that i act accordingly. Instead, resembling a growth mindset, i would attempt to engage with the error and develop on the ideas i am not quite certain on.
