Intensely communal feeling at these plays: ancient greek playwrights from classical athens: Aeschylus: only 7 of 90 plays survived including history play persians - set during. Persian wars (invasion of greece by persia with greek winning); was a soldier during these wars. Idea of a tragic flaw can be overplayed. Mythology is a vehicle to explore moral dilemmas- not as emotionally attached.
