Introduce the major gods of the greco-roman pantheon that we have not yet covered, discussing their domains and distinctive characteristics. Folk tradition does in uence ovid, but the primary thing that in uences him is written literature. Ovid used prose handbooks lled with the myths for reference. So he didn"t have to do all the research himself. He wants to give the impression that he is a poet inspired by the muses. Poet rejects the idea that he reads a lot and bases his poetry on that. Instead, claims that he is inspired by divinity. The people who live there are innocent shepherds. Place within arcadia where a lover"s meeting happens. A lot of what goes on in ovid happens in rural areas- not cities. In ovid, the locus amoncus is where bad things happen. Pretty young girl becomes vulnerable ecome places of horror and violence.
