• The sequence of post-production
o Acquisition--organization--review& selection-- assembly-- rough cut (trim
down, beginning to move away from script)--fine cut (roughly the real
length)--picture lock (move from picture to sound editing)--finishing--
mastering& delivery
• DX dialogue
o Wild track: recorded not in sinc
o ADR: dialogue replacement
o Voice over
• SFX sound effects
o Sound that is added
o Hard effects: seen on screen, need to sync
o Foley: man replaced sounds. e.g. footsteps
o Need all sounds without dialogue for foreign release
• BG: ambiance/ background
o Soundscapes: create the world of a scene
