Creating a thesis statement: collect and organize evidence, look for relationships, significance, surprising elements etc (brainstorm, develop a basic main idea or argument, summarize this in working thesis, refine thesis into a tight summary. Does it pass the so what? test?- implications of what you are writing about. Say why you are writing about this topic. Habituation- less neurotransmitter, the less reflex, less frequent potentials or not strong enough potentials to trigger an action potential. Sensitization- more frequent stimuli and more neurotransmitter (causing an action potential?) Long term habituation (memory) : over days, of training, there is a change in the number of synapses between the sensory neuron and the motor neuron. Short-term : more synpses to catch the neuro transmitter.
