An ice age land bridge once connected britain w/ europe broke off and makes. Sailors would be depressed getting lost out in the itcz. Winds are named from the direction in which they are coming from. Moves across the tropics (north to south and south to north) throughout the seasons. Warm water moves from tropics to poles. Weakening of hadley cell and trade winds. Simple observation made by hubble in 1929: everything is moving away from us. An increase (or decrease) in the frequency of sound, light, or other waves as the source and observer move toward (or away from) each other. The effect causes the sudden change in pitch noticeable in a passing siren, as well as the redshift seen by astronomers. The stars in the sky are red-shifted = farther away from us, so it appears more red. Fusion of clumping of matter then spit out into a supernova (big star)
