Germany, britain, s. belgium: feudal 500-1100 ce (feudal: when cities are under tremendous stress) Rome strank enormously of this time; this was the the re-ruralization of europe. N. c. italy; mercantilism; they used protectionism before restricting trade from foreign competition, tariffs, limits on imports, accumulate reserves of gold/silver, currencies based on value of gold. Contemporary 1920-present ce: periods and their problems.
