Even though psychology as a field my not be as objective as other sciences, it still adopts the scientific method of systematic observation, measurement, and experiment, and the formulation, testing, and modification of hypotheses. We now know that that is not true and that the mental and physical processes of our bodies are intertwined and collectively define our well being. : aristotle used observation and questioning to understand the body-psyche relationship. Structuralism strives to understand how the structure of the mind affects the function of the mind. It encourages introspection and self report data.
