Linguistic diversity of north america: major language families include algonquin, iroquoian, muskogean, Media representations of native americans: until quite recently, there was barely any representation of native. American languages in mass media: media tries to represent native americans through their use of hollywood. Makes people think that these native americas are somehow deficient. Result: they make english the measure of all things : examples. In the last of the mohicans, indians speak with confused tense.
