The pathogen that causes rabies is called a virus (the animal has it in its saliva) Genetic disease, so it is non infectious. Connective tissue between the skin and the tissue does not connect tightly enough; skin shifts away from the muscle. Does not show up until they can be bred. Parasites consume blood from animal which causes weakness. Parasites (both internal and external) are infectious. Selenium or vitamin e deficiencies causes this. A proper amount of nutrients is required for muscle contraction. Act as a vector (carries disease from one individual to another) Immunity that we are born with; does not have to do with the immune system exactly per say; skin is an example of a native immunity, as well as the microbiome and acids in the stomach;
