Skin, mouth, skull, sinuses, ears, neck and throat latch, withers, back, abs, ventral belly, external genitalia, tail, croup. Note hoof condition, heel sensation, and shoeing. Behavior in environment with people and other horses. Backing, large and small circle, up and down an incline, tail pull (shouldn"t be able to pull horse off balance) Rectal exam (especially mare / stallions you want to use for breeding) Breeding soundness exam (palpate testes, semen evaluation) Endoscopy of upper respiratory system (check voicebox and no collapsing cartilage) Ultrasonography (in order to further examine if horse reacts negatively to palpations) Baseline blood work (make sure there is no infection) Drug testing (check for anti-inflammatories or sedatives)
