Deception- the conscious alteration of information a person believes to be true in order to significantly change another"s perceptions from what the deceiver thought they would be without the alteration. White lies- don"t harm people- do it to be polite. Ex. cashier says she is doing well, but actually feeling under the weather. Lies of fabrication- completely untrue, for personal gain, rumors. Ex. rumor of president obama not being born in the us. Lies of exaggeration- to impress, stress the truth. Ex. saying how big your fish is. Ex. used car salesman doesn"t tell you check engine light is on. Extrovert- people who are more sociable, more likable. Introvert- shy, keep to themselves, thoughts in their own head. Women lying to women- most kind hearted lies- ex.
